Who?My name is Ioannis Chouklis and I am studing IT in University of Applied Sciences Cologne. I'm also known as Atlas one of the primordial Titans. Where?I live in Germany in a Cologne's suburb. What?In this little corner of the cyberspace you will find various stuff about my interests, my projects, my codes etc. Why?I do not do this for money nor fame, I do not live FROM ideas, I live FOR ideas. I am doing this because I am convinced that EVERY piece of information on this planet should be distributed FREE and be available for EVERYONE. Can you imagine how would be our world if Platon, Sokrates, Archimides, Thales and other Hellenes scientists and philosophers locked their discoveries? When?My first contact with the computers was on the late 80s. It was an amazing world to which I had just opened the door and I had started to discovering it. Since then nothing changed... How?On my first computer, an 8086 with 4MHz and 640KB RAM, I learn BASIC and C. Later, I get into the Windows world and I learn Visual Basic and Visual C++. Alongside with the Internet boom in '95, I get into the UNIX world where I learn Perl. As the Internet starts to expand like a cell, I start to get more experienced with networking and security rather than with programming. Meanwhile, I begin to play a little bit with PHP and MySQL. Lately, I got into the wonderful world of Java where I intend to spent the next few years. |
